Construction is progressing well at the 3.0-GW North Carolina facility as it moves into the equipment installation phase
GREENVILLE, N.C., Nov 02, 2026 — Inox Solar Americas LLC, a U.S.-based solar technology and manufacturing company specializing in advanced PV cells and high-performance PV modules, today announced that its planned PV cell manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina, with an annual production capacity of 3.0 GW, remains on schedule to begin production in the second quarter of 2027.
The 515,460-square-foot facility is a key part of Inox Solar Americas’ strategy to build a more vertically integrated U.S. solar manufacturing platform. Once operational, domestic advanced PV cell production will complement the company’s existing U.S. PV module manufacturing capabilities, providing customers with greater access to U.S.-manufactured solar technology and a more transparent, resilient, and reliable domestic supply chain.
Domestic Manufacturing & Regulatory Compliance
Inox Solar Americas’ vertically integrated U.S. manufacturing strategy is designed to provide customers with greater access to domestically manufactured PV cells and PV modules while increasing domestic content across the company’s product portfolio. The addition of U.S. PV cell manufacturing will further support customers addressing evolving U.S. domestic-content requirements, Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) and Prohibited Foreign Entity (PFE) considerations, applicable trade requirements, and federal energy-policy provisions. The company’s approach emphasizes qualified sourcing, documented manufacturing processes, and compliance readiness to help customers manage increasingly complex procurement and project requirements.
Supply-Chain Security, Transparency & Traceability
Integrating U.S. PV cell and PV module manufacturing will provide greater visibility and control across critical stages of the solar supply chain. Inox Solar Americas is strengthening supplier qualification, component-origin documentation, material traceability, production records, and supply-chain due diligence to support customers seeking greater transparency regarding where and how their products are manufactured. Increased domestic production is also designed to reduce dependence on imported PV cells, mitigate exposure to global supply disruptions and trade-related risks, and provide more reliable product availability for U.S. project pipelines.
Advanced Technology, Quality & Performance
The Greenville manufacturing platform will integrate advanced Galaxion™ monocrystalline PV cell technologies with Inox Solar Americas’ U.S.-manufactured Gamma Series™ monofacial and Vega Series™ bifacial PV modules. Advanced automation, precision cell processing, integrated inspection and testing, process controls, documented quality procedures, and production traceability are designed to provide greater manufacturing control from PV cell production through finished-module assembly. This integrated approach will support consistent product quality, high efficiency and energy yield, durability, and dependable performance across demanding U.S. solar applications.
Bankability, Supply Reliability & Customer Confidence
Expanding from U.S. PV module manufacturing into domestic PV cell production further strengthens Inox Solar Americas’ manufacturing capabilities and ability to support large-scale, multiyear customer requirements. The company is building greater manufacturing scale, supply continuity, domestic-content capability, traceability, compliance readiness, and product support. Together with product performance, quality systems, warranty support, and a commitment to the U.S. market, these capabilities are designed to strengthen customer, developer, investor, and lender confidence in Inox Solar Americas and the projects its products support.
“Our continued progress on U.S. PV cell manufacturing represents an important step in building a more integrated and resilient domestic solar supply chain,” said Ashok Nair, President & CEO of Inox Solar Americas. “By bringing advanced cell technology, high-performance module manufacturing, and rigorous quality control together within our U.S. manufacturing platform, we are strengthening our ability to support customers with reliable supply and the bankability required for their project pipelines.”
